No he didn’t. It was just a guess. From what I know of Christadelphians, he is too far off base to be one. Even they don’t go as far as he has ( and they go off base pretty far ).

Even if he was… why would you be so happy about someone leaving this board who might actually learn something here?
Janet; a person like that is not here to learn, but to cause trouble and controversy. This has been a proven fact. Many of us, with Christian charity, have tried to educate him/her, but all our attempts have either been rebuffed or ignored.

Haven’t finished reading these posts yet, wow it could take a week to go through all of them. Just wanted to direct a post to Ana Scott. I am so impressed with your posts. You show a tremendous capacity for understanding and patience. I wish you the best in your spiritual journey where ever it takes you (hoping it leads you to an RCIA class, but…).
Another poster gave a great suggestion that I think is critical for anyone entering the Church and that is ask questions and keep asking until you get the answers, read and study everything. I have often thought that converts are more informed than craddle Catholics because it is such a huge leap of faith that they tend to research more. 🤷

Janett, Where did you see me say I was happy some one left the board because I,m happy all the time

“ I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel."

This is how the Douay-Rheims explains the passage:
"15 “She shall crush”… Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent’s head. "

So no, God had not said something different. The verse makes a lot more sense when put properly doesn’t it? He seed is Jesus, and with her acceptance, obedience and sinless life Thru her seed Jesus the serpent’s head was chrushed. She had a very important part to play in God’s plan for our salvation, and those that ignore or ridicule the mother of God are going to have a lot to answer to…do I hear an Amen from anyone?

I know it’s been a while since you posted this. This passage has confused me for years, like an obsession I tried to understand it, now you have made it very clear to me. The woman and the serpent in Revelation. I’ve read these passages countless times and didn’t make the connection.

I feel as though the scales fell off my eyes! 👍

Thank you, but I take no credit. Mother Church in her wisdom and guidance of the Holy Ghost teaches us the fullness of God’s word.:signofcross:

Yes, Monica. Too many “cradle” Catholics know little or nothing of their faith. The shame of it is that this makes it quite easy to nudge them away from the truth and Jesus’ true Church into schism and/or heresy. Also too many of them do not “want to be bothered with religion” and “all religions lead to heaven”. These Catholics are ripe and juicy pickings for the cults ( and sometimes it is too late for them when they wake up to the truth of their folly ).
