Catholics played a large part in an anti stem cell television ad which was aired during the world series. Amongst the Catholics were:

St. Louis Cardinals Pitcher Jeff Suppan
Kansas City Royals Player Mike Sweeney
Actor Jim Caviezel
Actress Patricia Heaton

Also in the ad was born-again Christian Kurt Warner.

You can read the text of the ad here: domusdei.org/2006/10/28/anti-stem-cell-tv-ad-fueled-by-catholics/

For you Bill O’Reilly fans, here is his take: foxnews.com/story/0,2933,225866,00.html

Rush Limbaugh attacked Michael Fox and did a number the anti-stem cell research interests will have a hard time overcoming.

I am very happy about the ad but I think one point is important. We are not anti-stem cell we are anti-embryonic stem cell. Research using adult stem cells is a great thing.

The opposition tries to paints us as backwards, ignorant and anti-science. I think it is important to always make the distinction that we support adult stem cell research and applaud all of the cures currently available from adult stem cells.

It is only the barbaric destruction of embryonic human life for scientific experimentation to which we are opposed.

I did not see the ad but the text of it sounds great. I hope there is more on the way before election day.

The mainstream media cant stand Catholics. And they HATE the fact that 5 Catholics are on the Supreme Court.

Yeah, sorry about that, I shouldn’t have distinguished in the initial post between embryonic stem cell research and adult stem cell research.

Its anti embryonic stem cell research or more specifically anti Human CLONING.

Many people don’t realize that if this law passes, it will make cloning a right.

I am praying for Missouri to say NO to this amendment.
