I should think that if one was going to go so far as to tatoo a symbol of the Faith on one’s skin, it should be abstract and not a pictorial representation of Our Lord or the Blessed Mother, etc. I don’t have anything to back that up, it’s just a visceral reaction. I’m of the generation where the only people who got tatoos were people in the military (and they were usually drunk when they did it). I know now it’s becoming much more accepted, but I don’t think it’s a good trend. But then, I’m of that generation.

Ahhh…but for that you might want to prepare by reading the Catechism’s teaching around the 4th Commandment: Honoring thy Father and Mother…

I actually was just in the tattoo parlor 3 days ago getting a price estimate on mine. Im getting it in 3-4 weeks. Its the first line of the 18 psalm; “I love You,O Lord, my strength.” I have wanted it forever but i was also worried about the church’s stance. Then after much researched i realized that we are, in fact, members of the coolest church ever. I am really excited for it. I’ll put up pics of it after its done.
