Rarely do Canadians have an opportunity to open the abortion debate such is the iron-fisted grip of the pseudo intellectual elite.
Online abortion advocates are complaining that the “Great Canadian Wish List,” a contest described by the CBC as a way for Canadians to express what they hope for the country, has been “highjacked” by “right-wingers,” “anti-choicers” and “fetus fetishizers”…in other words, Canadians wanting an end to abortion.
Since abortion has been legalized in Canada, politicians and news editors have asserted that the issue is closed despite the consistent poll results showing that as many as 70 per cent of Canadians want at least some restrictions on abortion. Efforts to close the debate, however, are starting to crack with the advent of blogging and online discussion groups.
Worried that the pro-abortion hegemony in Canadian media is under threat, abortion advocates are urging their supporters in online chat groups and mailing lists to vote for the alternate wish, “that Canada would remain pro-choice.” Joyce Arthur, among Canada’s leading abortion crusaders, complains, “‘Abolish Abortion’ is the #1 wish by a wide margin, which may indicate growing confidence within the anti-choice movement, and their increased hopes for a chance to re-open the debate and recriminalize abortion
Contest ends July 1. Let’s pry open that grip of death so that hands may once again open to welcome life. Let’s give Canada a reason to smile on Canada Day.

Anything that infuriates the pro-abortion activists is something that makes me very happy! 😃

Just registered and voted. Also voted for traditional marriage, and spiritual rebirth. Pro-choice was second on the list, though.

Yes, Americans can vote, and please do! It’s important we win this to get some national media coverage. If you don’t have a Facebook account, it’s very easy to get one.

Here’s a link to further instructions:

Folks, the number one thing is to vote AND EMAIL ALL YOUR CANADIAN PRO-LIFE CONTACTS.

I would discourage Americans from voting.

Why? Because if we win with American votes, they will accuse us of cheating, even though there are probably Americans who voted for their side.

There are instructions at bigbluewave.ca

Email all your Canadian pro-life contacts, now.

Ask your church to put a notice in the bulletin. Mine will.

Put a link on any board with pro-life Canadians on it.

The poor-choicers are rallying fast. However, I must say, we’re holding up well, all things considered.

Thank goodness some people finally noticed this thread. I agree. Americans voting may not be a good idea. #1. Your Internet connection’s IP address is uniquely associated with your “machine name” which identifies your Internet connection uniquely. This “supercookie” uniquely identifies you on the Internet if you have a fixed ID account assigned by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Therefore, any cheating would be easily caught.

Nevertheless, there are Canadians who frequent Catholic Answers and they most certainly should “get on the bandwagon” for life.

Oppose Abortion still #1.
Still 3 days to go I believe. Continue votes!!!

👍 We won!
On Canada Day the CBC announced that “Abolish abortion in Canada” is the number one wish on The Great Canadian Wish List, a joint project between Facebook and the CBC.
Since the rating began on May 28, Canadians watched with increasing interest as the numbers rose for the top 30 Canadian wishes. The fourth most popular wish, “Restore the Traditional Definition of Marriage,” was preceded by the third, “For a spiritual revival in our nation.” The second most popular was “I wish that Canada would remain pro-choice.” Of the 16,000 people who registered their wishes, a majority of 9,543 votes supported the top wish to “Abolish abortion in Canada.”…

I think American’s voting might be immoral and deceptive.
