Hi there,
Long story short, my husband is dyslexic and due to neglectful parenting, never received help. He was baptized Catholic but was raised in a secular (chaotic) home life. Fast forward to adulthood, he can barely read. He attends mass faithfully, but struggles to understand our religion. He has turned to some podcasts but they are over his head intellectually. He drives two hours to work so he has ample time to listen to something. I am hoping someone on here can recommend an audiobook or cd set wherein he can learn the basics of our faith. For example, he didn’t know the word “theology”. So it has to be beginner. He is such a good man, great husband and father. I do not fear for his salvation because he is obedient to our church and receives the sacraments. But in terms of growing in knowledge, he is trapped. Please help. Both a recommendation and prayer is greatly appreciated.

Formed.org would be a wonderful resource! Audio Books, talks, videos many recordings all in one spot.

Some parishes offer a free subscription or you can sign up. It is hands down the most resources for your dollars!!

Yes, formed! Our parish did hand out the code as a Christmas gift. I need to find that flyer. Thank you! That’s perfect!

Call your parish office, I am sure they can give you the code.

They have the great audiobook “Theology For Beginners” it is so good
