I have been a member of CAF since a month and a half after being received into the Catholic Church on July 15, 2008. so I wanted to share that today is my 5 year anniversary since my conversion from the Episcopal church to the One and True Church started by Jesus and His Apostles. I am still learning - there is so much to learn and discover - but I have not regretted my decision to leave the protestant faith and to join the Roman Catholic Church. before converting, I had studied about Catholicism and the Episcopal church and their differences and similarities. before that, I did not attend church at all for roughly 15 years. so the fact that I have remained committed to my conversion is pretty much a miracle for me.

I am looking forward to learning more about the Catholic faith and growing more in my faith.
looking back, even as a teenager I knew the Catholic faith was true and my big regret is that I did not convert sooner. thankfully, I know that I am where God wants me now!

Have became a Catholic 25 years ago and have never looked back.

👍

I love it when the family grows! Thank you for responding to Christ’s call!
:signofcross: May God continue to bless us on our journeys!

Congratulations! 🙂

I celebrated my 12-year anniversary at Easter time.

That’s AWESOME. Thank you for sharing your anniversary with us! 😃

Thanks for your replies!! 🙂 Always good to hear from others who have made the same journey or from other life long Catholics!! 👍

Congratulations and may your journey continue to be blessed! As a fellow member of the Tiber Swim Class (2005) every year I mark the anniversary with several members of my RCIA group.

And speaking of increasing the numbers, one of my fellow class members has four more children since the Easter Vigil where she and her husband converted…they got interested in the Church after accessing Catholic NFP sites! Obviously NFP worked for them as they were trying to have a baby (they have a total of six children, one adopted and one in Heaven). Another member of the class had two more kids, one had four at the time and has two more…we used to joke that something was in the water at the Rectory where we took our RCIA classes.

Not meaning to steal your thunder 7Sorrows but just mentioning how one conversion to the Church can mean more

Blessings to you and yours
Lisa

I pray that more and more people will come to join the Church. when I look around at all of the protestant churches with no authority and some believe this and some believe that, I am so thankful that the Holy Mother Church has remained the One True Church to guide us and help us in our everyday lives.

That is wonderful 😃

I celebrated 20 years this Pentecost. It’s been quite a journey so far.

I hope I will still be alive when my 20 year anniversary rolls around. lol!

congratulations!! 👍

Congratulations. I hope myself to look back in 5 years time with a similar thread! God bless. 😃

Congratulations! I’m a cradle Catholic, but I was a bit fallen away and last month marked 4 years since my journey back and to a much stronger faith.

I am so happy you made the decision to return to the Catholic church and give it another try! I am always envious of cradle Catholics because they have the benefits of having a pretty good foundation - they just need to do more research and learn more about their rich faith that they grew up in. I pray you continue to grow in your faith.

The big problem for a lot of us is that we didn’t have a good foundation. A lot of parents left it up to the Catholic schools in the 70s and 80s, and depending on where you lived, the catechesis you received was poor at best. When I started studying on my own a few years ago, I was shocked by a lot of what I’d read, simply because, after 12 years of Catholic schools, going through pre-Cana with my wife then First Communion and Confirmation preparation with our son and a lifetime of attending Mass, I’d never heard a lot of it. At least now I can work to make sure my kids have a better foundation than I did.
