Does your family celebrate their patron saint’s feast days, also known as name day? We purposely picked out saint’s names for our children and we hope they will have a special attachment to them, emulate them, pray to them. We celebrate their feast day by attending Mass if possible, talking about “their saint” or by going to dinner or giving them gift, just something to make it special and important. For my husband’s or my feast day we make sure we acknowledge it to the kids so that they know it’s our special day.

My family does St Andrews day( Scotland) and St Partricks day (Ireland).

My saint is St. Christopher and he doesn’t have a day anymore. 😦

Maybe you could celebrate the feast of St. Christina (July 24) 🙂 . See the link below.

I actually get to celebrate twice as John the Baptist on June 24th or John the Beloved, December 27th. I think I was named for John the beloved though, one of my mom’s favorite saints.

Yep, we celebrate everyone’s Saint Day – usually with a special desert.
