Celtic Cross Necklace Blessing

[Lauren517]

I really want to purchase a Celtic cross and wear as a necklace for a sacramental. I know that a Crucifix can be blessed, but I was wondering if a priest can also bless a Celtic cross? Thank you and God Bless!

Priests bless all kinds of things. I personally saw a priest bless an iguana. He might not use the same exact prayer as he would for a crucifix, but I’m sure he’s got something for a cross.

Why wouldn’t a priest be able to bless a Celtic cross? It’s a cross after all.
