When I am having a little ‘prayer/scripture reading service’ (kind of) what is the appropriate way for me to sense my icon/the bible? Also, am I allowed to bless the incense I’m burning with some of my Lourdes water? Thanks!

P.S- if anyone knows of formal instructions in how to conduct a personal prayer service, please tell.
 
Well, I suggest you get the pack of incense blessed by a priest beforehand. Lourdes Water is not Holy Water as in the Holy Water used to bless. Indeed one can consider it blessed as it came from a holy site and of course Our Lady was involved in its origin. However, it is not the holy water used by the Church to bless.

Other than that, feel free to cense your icons, bible, while praying. You can cense your whole house if you want. (makes devils flee if blessed). Also, feel free to pray in whatever manner brings you close to God and lifts your spirit.
