Centering Prayer, is it OK?

Hello, the nuns at the convent nearby have centering prayer once a month. Our former Parish also had a class on it. I do recall seeing something that seemed to indicate there was something wrong with it? I can’t remember where I saw it as it was a long time ago. Does anyone know anything about this?

I would be lary of it. Many when they use the term “Centering Prayer” are talking about emptying oneself. This is dangerous and should be avoided.

Meditative prayers should focus on some aspect of God or the faith.
