Certain episode of "Steven Universe"

I’m going to have to keep my daughter from watching that show, and she likes it
 
You’re an adult, right? So presumably you can decide whether you can handle the subject matter of a cartoon show and whether it presents a temptation or occasion of sin for you without needing to ask the group.

If the point was to get everybody riled up over an edgy cartoon episode, all I have to say to that is, stop trolling about pop culture.
 
I’ve never heard of this “Steven Universe” before. But rather than ask, I’ll do a search. Unless someone wants to be charitable and save me the trouble.

O.k., I clicked the link and saw that it was on the list of serious issues dealt with in kids shows. I don’t really see any controversy there.

1 Bad person controls good person.
2 Good person has internal struggle.
3 Good person rejects bad person.
4. Happily ever after.

So dealing with toxic relationships is something I don’t have to deal with, but I don’t see why you can’t watch it. Only problem is that episode doesn’t really have any significance to the plot so you could probably just skip it if you want.

I wouldn’t let young kids watch any of Steven Universe, or if you haven’t haven’t already discussed sexual morality with them.

Seriously, they’re better off shutting the television off

Seriously. @Maxirad, what is it with you and the constant, out of left field questions about pop culture? You’re always posing these questions about some relatively obscure tv show with zero context. What is it you’re actually driving at?

I have actually wondered, based on the content posted by the OP, whether they work as a publicist or marketing person and are trying to get internet hits for various obscure old TV shows, actors etc.

Many of the threads started have only a tenuous connection to Catholicism.

Since this has been brought up a couple times already, I will say that Steven Universe isn’t exactly “obscure”. It may not be Teen Titans Go! levels of popular (then again, what is right now?), but it’s still among the more popular modern cartoons and has generated a lot of fame and notoriety for being instrumental in making LGBT issues acceptable in children’s shows.

To be honest, I’ve never been married, and I don’t have any children of my own. However, I do have three nephews, and I do not want the homosexual agenda to be forced down their throats.
 
To be honest the LGBT messages have been pretty underwhelming.
 
If the point of Steven Universe is that it’s a gay cartoon show, then what is the point of discussing it, other than to set people off? Most Catholics who post here would not want to watch that.
