Yes, there are two Nestorian churches currently.

one where the patriarch is based in Iraq and the other is based in Chicago.
  • Chaldean Catholic Church (1552) - Mar (Cardinal) Emmanuel III Delly, resident in Baghdad, Iraq
  • The Ancient Church of the East (1968) - Mar Addai, resident in Baghdad, Iraq
  • Apostolic Church of the East (1976) - Mar Dinkha IV, resident near Chicago, USA

thakns all i just want to inquire about this as I practice the Roman Rite and the Franciscan way of life. much help

As I thought, there is no Chaldean church for a very long way from us. I visited there and they had a curtain like the Syro Malabars, and men stood on one side and women the other. They had no icons at all.

I spoke to the deacon a while and he was very much against what he called the “greek church”. He also strongly denied the Virgin as Theotokos just mother of the human part of Jesus. Like Jesus is two seoperate people.

Even tho they deny they are Nestorians, they come across as very Nestorian to me.
I suspect many, many Catholics arounf the world are " heretics, " and just don’t know it.
It is the result of very bad catechesis for decades and decades all over the world, worsened by the conflicts of constant war here and there. Pretty hard to pay attention to theology when bombs and bullets are flying or when you are starving or freezing.

But the Incarnation certainly is an interesting fact of faith. But while Mary gave birth to God in this world, the Second Person was eternally generated by the Father. In heaven the Hypostatic Union will continue but at the same time the Second Person will remain united with the Father and the Holy Spirit in One Godhead. This could be an interesting thread by itself. 👍

^ From the Very Very little I could read, is this Rabban Hormizd monastery?
