I’m curious if other people’s parishes make use of a chalice pall, veil and burse? While it’s certainly not an absolute requirement per the Church, it does add a tiny touch of solemnity to the Mass which I like, and there is absolutely nothing that prohibits their use.

I am pleased to see all of this in use during the EWTN Masses, and I was pleased to see ABp. Gregory use a chalice pall during the recent Mass at the National Shrine, even though there were also a dozen other chalices that were not covered also sitting on the altar (not that they needed to be.)

There is one priest that I know of in the Archdiocese of Portland that does. They are definitely not used very frequently anymore.

The priests at my parish often use a pall and use the veil religiously 😉 , but have not (yet) restored the use of the burse.
