Hi. I just want to highly recommend Challenge Club for girls (10-15), and Conquest Clubs for boys. My daughter has been in Challenge Club for 2 years now, and her faith life and love for Jesus has increased and intensified. My children attend Public School, and have come home many times telling me how they talked to Jesus to kids that have never heard of him (SERIOUSLY—a little boy in my son’s class asked my son who Jesus was after reading my son’s napkin–I always write little bible quotes or remind them to say their grace, etc). With these clubs, the children perform apostolic missions, learn virtues, attend and participate in retreats, and have a place to freely discuss their Faith. Each week the kids get spiritual direction (boys have priests, girls have “consecrated women”-nunlike, but not involved in a community). There are opportunities for confession and Mass. I can’t say enough about these clubs, and am so thankful that my kids get to participate in them. My youngest, age 6, has also been involved in K4J–Kids for Jesus–a group that precedes the Conquest/Challenge Clubs for kids.
Anyone else have experience with these clubs? Please share. I think it’s important to get the word out!!!
