Christ is Risen!

I’m very happy to see that the Latin Parishes in the diocese in which I live are introducing chants during the Liturgy. When I watch a Solemn Mass on EWTN the Gospel is chanted. I have a simple question. Is it appropriate to chant the readings and the Gospel in the Roman Liturgy?

Thanks and God bless,
ZP

If the priest or Deacon can sing, yes. 😃 I have heard some amazingly beautiful chants of the Gospel. It’s nice when it can happen.

Most certainly. It’s always appropriate, especially on higher feast days.
