I was wondering if anybody wanted to start THE CHAPLET OF COMFORT (Prayer for the Deceased) prayer thread or if they want to do it at their home for the Katrina dead.
Do the “Red Bead” once and the “White Bead” 30 times and the concluding prayer, it a chaplet with a crucifix and a total of 31 beads. You can find the chaplet in stores. If this thread needs to be moved so be it. The prayer formula is below, just replace name/names section.
THE CHAPLET OF COMFORT (Prayer for the Deceased)

On Large Red Bead Is said the following prayer:
Merciful Jesus, we humbly recall in prayer, the soul(s) of (name or names), whom you have called to their eternal home. Grant (name or names) eternal life
and peace. AMEN.
On each White Bead, recite the following:
Lord, grant (name or names) eternal rest and peace.
At the conclusion of the recitation of the Chaplet, the following prayer Is recited:
Let us Pray.
We thank you Lord for listening to our simple prayers offered for the soul(s) of (name or names). May (name or names) pray for us as we for them.
Grant this through Christ Our Lord. AMEN.
