Character discussing sex in books?

Hi there.

I recently was reading and came across one younger character asking about the birds and the bees. The scene was very drawn out to spotlight the embarrassment of her babysitter who was explaining it to her. The explanation did get explicit.

I’ve been preparing myself for confession and I’m just not sure A) whether I sinned, B) to what degree. I’m also unsure how to approach this in the future. I guess I’m just confused on where the line is between not mentioning sex at all and participating in impure behavior.

? Why did you think it’s a sin?

Did you lust, or did you just read about sex. If it’s the latter, there’s nothing to worry about

Unless it is a near temptation of sin deliberately indulged in, then I don’t see how it’s a sin.
