Anyone know of any good non-profit organizations where I could donate to homeless families, abused children, those in need of assistance?
 
Hello there!
A charity I do my best to help, and i believe is very deserving of every penny they get is Reece’s Rainbow.

It is a charity originally set up to help raise funds for the adoption of overseas orphans with downs syndrome. Since its start it has branched out and now helps find children with any disability (from hiv to even the rarest of conditions, epidermolysis bullosa) loving homes.

Go have a look, im sure you will love their work.

And on a side note, this is the child I have been assigned to help, it would be a great favour if you could have a look at either one of the links (or both) as ever bit of attention we can raise for Reece’s is very welcome.

You could contact your diocesan Catholic Charities office and ask them.

My favorites are Catholic Relief Sevices, American Red Cross, So Other Might Eat (SOME) and Bethesda Cares. The last two are local to the DC-MD area, but there are probably similar organizations in your area.
