Chi and energy

My friend told me that her jade bracelet absorbs “good energy”. I asked her to define energy or give me an example of how people’s energy can transfer to another person and she was perturbed.
I looked and researched energy and understand she is involved with Buddhism and chi.
I undeerstand also that energy can come from New Age stuff.
My question is do you know of good questions I could ask her to understand what her foundation is?
What is the catholic belief regarding “energy” and how people’s bad attitudes can affect others?

It’s a bunch of BS.

To my knowledge Buddists don’t place their trust in brightly colored rocks.

American women do, but Buddists don’t.

It’s similar to placing your trust in anything - but God.

I have done martial arts for years and have investigated Chi energy etc. I can tell you something for certain: It does not exist. When someone has a particular skill it is due to body mechanics, correct positioning and movement/reflexes. Some asian experts in the past have called this Chi energy, but there is nothing mystical about it. In regards to objects having Chi energy - the same thing applies. Much of it is simply superstition on the part of pagan religions. The whole idea “smells” - to use a theological term, of superstition and should be avoided. These beliefs and superstitions are old, but have certainly been adopted by New agers. Something to avoid if you are Catholic.
