Just to inform all of you Chicagoland CAF individuals, Sacred Heart Parish in Lombard is throwing a dance for the benefit of the parish. The ticket price is $15 per person 7 and older (children 6 and under are free). The performers will be The Cavern Beat (www.thecavernbeat.com also can be seen on YouTube). There will be food and beverages for purchase (no alcohol will be served). It starts at 7 pm and you can buy tickets from the rectory ((630) 627-0687 or at the door. The evening ends at 10 pm. Last year was a great time with great Beatles music. Please come and join them as they celebrate for a nice, wholesome family good time.

Yikes; I used to live in Lombard; went to high school there, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

How’s The Lilac Village doing these days?

I don’t live there any longer (but I work there). It’s nice and beautiful as usual. But a lot has changed, especially around Yorktown.

I haven’t been back there in years; I’m sure I wouldn’t recognize it. All that stuff south of Yorktown hasn’t been at all familiar to me for a long time–I remember when that was pretty empty.
