Child Sponsorship

Before becoming Catholic, I sponsored a child through Compassion. They are a very organized, well-run child sponsorship charity. However, they are not Catholic. I want to sponsor another child, but this time through a Catholic organization.

I’m not as well-versed in Catholic charities.
Unbound and Chalice are two organizations I’ve found. Any experiences or opinions on them?

I’ve not got a clue. Most of my money that goes to Catholic Charities goes to them via my diocese.

I’ve sponsored through Unbound for many years, though I recently heard of them having a connection with a heretical priest group.

I decided to stay with them, so as not to abandon my sponsored child, but I might not continue once she leaves the program.
