I’ve thought a few times that it would be nice to sponsor a child through one of the agencies that I see or read about. I’m adopted, and have always had a special place for children that are abandoned or struggling to get by. Is doing something like this worth it? Are all the agencies out there out to get my money or are there some reputable ones that I know care about these kids? I’m just still a little skeptical and wonder if I shouldn’t focus my efforts elsewhere. Any thoughts?

We have been sponsoring a child in India for about 8 years through the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA). It is a papal agency, so we have faith in it. We get letters and photos about twice a year. It costs $22 per month. I have no qualms at all about this agency. I recommend it!

You can also sponsor seminarians and novitiates in 3rd world countries through this organization, too.
