Children's Liturgies - Good or Bad?

I agree with almost all of what you say but the “child worshiping” society jumped out at me. I wondered what you meant because all I could think about was that society doesn’t value children at all. :nope:
I think there is an unnatural emphasis on children in today’s society. Perhaps it exists because people have so few of them and a sort of “perspective” has been lost. But children do not need a “special everything” in order to grow up healthy and happy.

I like children. I even have a few of my own. 😉 But when they were babies I did not talk baby talk to them all the time, simply because I thought real “adult language” would be too difficult for them to understand. In the same sense, children don’t need a “special” liturgy at the mass.

Children, even toddlers, can be taught to behave properly at mass. They aren’t stupid, and they generally know when “best behavior” is required of them. I routinely see it at my TLM parish where High Mass is frequently an hour-and-a-half long, and my own children behaved during church when they were young.
