Every year Penny Arcade, an online comic strip focused on video gaming, helps to host Child’s Play.

They give a map of Children’s hospitals around the country, and you click on one of the controller icons to choose a hospital. When you do this, a window with an Amazon wish list submitted by the kids in that hospital pops up. When you purchase one of the toys on the list it is delivered directly to the kid’s hospital you chose.

They ask for everything from Playstation 2 to Dora the Explorer coloring books. There’s something somewhere that everyone can afford, and each item is important to a child somewhere. As the creators discuss in their blog, Playstation 2’s may be a community thing that can all share, but things like Play-doh collect germs and have to be thrown out out after a single use. Bottom line: every single thing makes what these kids are going through easier.

Here’s the link to the map with the hospital locations.
