Chosen people of God?

I am new here so I don’t know if this been answered before and
I also don’t ask this to start any unconscious debate, just sincerely seeking an answer.

Ok, with that said here’s my question:

If the Jews were the people chosen by God, but since they did not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who then are the chosen people of God or are the Jews still?
Would it be Catholics, or would it be all Christians, or is it not one particular faith and at that period of time the people of the Jewish faith were the ony ones who believed in God?

The “Chosen People” of God are and always a have been every human being who has ever lived even if only for a moment.

The ancient Isrealites were chosen to get the Torah, but that made them no more or no less God’s people than anyone else.

Here’s what the Catechism of The Catholic Church says:

**60 ** The people descended from Abraham would be the trustee of the promise made to the patriarchs, the chosen people, called to prepare for that day when God would gather all his children into the unity of the Church. They would be the root on to which the Gentiles would be grafted, once they came to believe.

1819 Christian hope takes up and fulfills the hope of the chosen people which has its origin and model in the hope of Abraham, who was blessed abundantly by the promises of God fulfilled in Isaac, and who was purified by the test of the sacrifice. “Hoping against hope, he believed, and thus became the father of many nations.”

The relationship of the Church with the Jewish People.
