While coming back from a friend’s house, I was asked by her grandmother if my church (They are largely non-denominational.) was integrating Islamic ideas into our Catechism. My first reaction to this was - “o.o?!” - as any Catholic would be upon such a question. I refuted the idea as politely as I could, and then asked where she and her family heard such an idea. She went on to mention she had “heard on the news” that some churches were attempting something called “Chrislam,” which to my mind sounded like a nightmarish word which Hell invented to further split the Protestants away from the light of God’s True Church. After taking a moment to do some research, I came across this website. (see below)

By the looks of it, it is the name of an inter-faith dialogue effort to help Christians and Muslims live side-by-side. (An idea I have adored ever since I watched “El Cid.” Who else has done so? Be honest! lol)
Whether this is a renewed effort to try and pervert Christian teaching into what it is not, or a misunderstanding amongst a few prominent Protestants, I am wondering if anyone else had heard about this. Anyone?
