Christ is Ascended!
I hope everyone had as joyous a Feast day as I was blest to have. 🙂 It’s been a truly glorious day.

I got to play for 2 Masses. It was such a privilege. I also had a glorious day! Thank you!!

Does the Byzantine Rite ever transfer the Feast of the Ascension to the next Sunday? I am glad our Diocese doesn’t.

I can’t speak for other particular Eastern Catholic Churches, but in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church none of the greater feasts are transferred. For example even if the Annunciation falls during Holy Week or even Pascha, it is still celebrated with an interesting mix of services.

Lesser feasts may be transferred during Great Lent, Holy Week and the time of the Pentecostarion (Pascha to the Sunday after Pentecost inclusive).
