You mean the “Harlequin Romance-esque” novel written by a non-Catholic author? It is fiction, so, I read fiction that you may not like so to each his own. A Parish Book Study? Ummm, no that should be for Catholic books, Catholic fiction.
I have that book–I really enjoyed it. It is inspired by the book of Hosea. It deals with some very difficult topics, though. I have enjoyed many of Francine Rivers’ books.
She has another book called The Atonement Child about a college student who is raped and becomes pregnant and has to decide on whether to keep her baby. Also good, even though it’s not Catholic.
