I almost dropped my popcorn this weekend!
The family and I went to Regal Cinema in Doylestown, PA to see “The Incredibles”, and instead of cheesy previews of other movies to come, we were entertained with several 30-second shots of people being nice to others, followed up by a short cartoon emphasizing a positive message about feeling good about yourself. I could not believe what I was seeing!
After the movie, I sought out the manager and inquired about the commercials…she said it was something new out of corporate…please do what I did and encourage them to continue showing these commercials with their movies. I’m telling you, ever since the election, I have witnessed so many of these minor miracles. I think we have a chance to bring our little world back to the wholesome by-gone days.

HALLELUIA!!!

hub & I saw Incredibles on South Padre Island last weekend, and there were no previews except of other pixar films, but what we did get was a terrific short feature or “cartoon” by pixar about a lamb and a jackalope, how to rebound from shame or disappointment, great theme, great lyrics, great music, and astounding animation, if that is the right word for pixar. The movie was terrific, too, can’t remember the last time I went to the movies (well, I saw the Alamo last year, don’t remember before that).

I do remember what I hate about theaters – small seats like the airlines too close together, sticky floors, crying babies, giggling teens and loud senior citizens replaying the dialog to each other. From now on, will wait till it comes to DSS

Dear Annie

Your post made me laugh. I always seem to get an extremely tall, above 6ft tall, man sit infront of me at the cinema and can’t see a thing! But then I am tall for a woman (almost 5ft9) so the person who sits behind me is not too lucky either :rotfl: . It is a while since I went to the cinema (I last went to see Passion of the Christ) so I will see if we get this sort of ‘positive trailers’ in the UK, usually what happens in the USA eventually happens in the UK, so we will see.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

Teresa

Took my family family to see The Incredibles on a Monday night. We were the only ones in the theater. IT WAS GREAT.

Don’t you always have to have someone taller sit in front of you? I thought this was the point unless there is stadium seating. If we go to a regular movie theater I always have to lean to the side to see, and I am around 6 ft tall.

I am happy to hear that The Incredibles is a good movie. So was it still 30 minutes of preview time?
