Yes, we are there again. The approach of a New Year and everyone making all those “New Year Resolutions.” I thought it might be interesting or even fun if folks could share their Resolutions, but from a Christian perspective more than a secular one. Totally volunteer of course. The only thing I would ask is please try to avoid politics. Keep things Biblical in nature.
Here are two of mine to start off:
Be a better steward of the things God gives me. I will do this by increasing my recycling efforts including using more mulch from my own composting. I also want to increase the number of indigenous plants in the yard, versus having the lawn.
Seriously, I need to lose weight. This will improve my health and I am setting a goal of 3 pounds a month.(Strive against gluttony.) Stop to think about that: A whole 36 pounds should be gone by this time next year. And since I know sugar is such a bad thing for my health and weight this is the food I will concentrate on getting rid of. No artificial sweeteners either as they now know they confuse the pancreas, cause it to dump insulin and therefore contribute to weight gain. I will try to use honey instead of sugar if I just have to have a sweet.
So that’s it. Anyone wanting to add one or both of these to their list…feel free. Maybe we can all help each other do better.
