Oh I see so if the scripture says what you like its a how dare I question it, but if you don’t like it than you simply claim that it means something different than what it says.

OTC, I have never dismissed out-of-hand - as you have done - a text of Scripture. What I have presented is it’s proper understanding.

I’m more interesting in the truth.

I’m sure you are; but your difficulty lies in being unable to recognize it, preferring the tales of Mormonism which inhibit your ability to employ your reason in looking at authentic Christian doctrine.

I never said, nor implied that humans are “mere animals” (though we are the highest creature God made in the animal kingdom.) We are not “mere animals” because we have been made in God’s image, i.e., having an immortal and intellectual soul (we have this as His creatures, not as His natural children). It is very true that we can be God’s adopted children, made so in Christ because of our being made in God’s image in the first place.
