A relative came in 150 miles from another town, with her big dog in the back end of her SUV. Well, she also put a bundle of water bottles back there, and the dog chewed the caps off of 4 of the bottles, creating a small flood which was mostly absorbed by an old blanket that was back there for the dog’s comfort.

While this relative was visiting, a neighbor showed up with like two pounds of homemade cookies (I am diabetic and can’t touch these).

Wasn’t it wonderful that the blanket was there to absorb the water?

And since the neighbor was kind enough to bring cookies over, you will have plenty to share since you can’t eat them.

It’s all in how you look at things. Merry Christmas!

As someone who drives around a lot with pets in the car, I’d be relieved the dog just flooded the car with water and not with doggie whizz. And that the blanket absorbed most of it and can easily be thrown in the washer or hung out on a line.

Hopefully your relative can eat the homemade cookies. She probably needs a nice snack after having to deal with the mess caused by the dog.

So far it’s been a peaceful, uneventful Christmas here (the way I like it). My younger sister does go on a baking marathon every Christmas, so there were plenty of cookies over at her house, but thankfully I’m not diabetic… at least not yet, anyway.

its Christmas Eve here, and typically, because it is a public holiday for the next couple of days, one of my dogs has been to the emergency after hours vet tonight and will be going back in again after the holidays. She has either been bitten in the ear by one of Australia’s sweet little spiders, or has a grass seed in there, either way, its very painful.

The pain meds they gave her are working well, she is now up and barking at whatever idiot is letting off fireworks.
