Christmas from Non-Christian points of view

Again…

I find it curious that someone would complain about someone else honoring Christ by celebrating CHRISTmas. If Christmas is nothing more than a secular holiday for people to celebrate, it is for the wrong reasons…

But if you keep the TRUE meaning of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ, whats the problem…

I find it even more suspect that when someone says, but I celebrate the TRUE reason of Christmas, those that hold the anti-CHRISTmas belief seem to get even more “But your wrong!!!”

Why criticize any Christian for celebrating anything Christian related…

My answer is the same as my 6yr old daughter’s:
The true meaning of christmas is fun: presents, lively decorations, songs, getting together with friends & loved ones. Christmas is that time of the year when everybody has fun at the same time.

Its the same thing with the Japanese & Chinese infidels as well. 🙂

Dear Agnos,

Thank you for your sharing. By mentioning presents, do you have a tradition of giving in your family? In getting together with friends and love ones, are you discussing about miseries or suffering? During your sing-a-long with them, are you singing the mourning tune? Are you talking about getting revenge to others that disappoint you? If I may put your answer in my imagination, I am thinking about a happy family with neighbors and relatives, all having smile in their faces. Am I correct? Does it happen everyday?

You and your 6th years old daughter are correct. That is Chrismas. Chrismas is Joy. Perhaps you deny the wording or terminology, but you were experiencing the soul of Chrismas. Good for you, Agnos. If I may say and if you don’t mind, I would like to wish you Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your so cute little daughter (and your wife too). Also, since we don’t know the exact date of the birth of Jesus, you are welcome to celebrate Christmas everyday all year long with the kind of spirit that your daughter share with us.
