On Pope John Paul’s “Theology of the Body”
Author to discuss Catholic teachings on sex, marriage
Best-selling author Christopher West will lecture on the Catholic teachings about sex and marriage in two upcoming local speaking engagements.
A father of four and a research fellow and faculty member of the Theology of the Body Institute, Mr. West will speak on “God, Sex, and the Meaning of Life” at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Grand Ballroom at Bowling Green State University. Admission is free.
He also will lead a workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 31 on “Good News about Sex and Marriage” at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Registration is required; the cost is $25 for adults, $15 for students, or $40 for couples. Information: www.creedoncampus.com/cwest.
Mr. West has given more than 1,000 lectures on four continents and written three books, Good News About Sex & Marriage; Theology of the Body Explained, and Theology of the Body for Beginners.
