Does the Catholic Church have an official position on whether Christ was nailed to the cross through his palms or his wrists?

There is no official position on this. Most likely he was nailed through the wrists because nails would have torn through the hand once weight was applied. The point is moot, though, because in ancient writings hand=your entire forearm, including the wrist.

Hi

I am an Ahmadi - a peaceful faith in Islam, we maintain from Quran/Islam/Muhammad that though Jesus was put on Cross, yet he did not die a cursed death on Cross. He died a natural and respectful death later.

Thanks

I am sorry, but what you think, compared to the TRUTH, is WRONG.

Muhammad, who we do not consider a prophet, and has no known public miracles, was not even around when Jesus died.

Can he “PROVE” he was a profit, other than being visited in “private” by the Angel Gabriel.

Jesus undeniably proved who he was.

If Jesus was flogged, tortured, forced to carry his cross (or part thereof, whatever), crucified for a few hours, and then taken down to survive, how did he, in that sad shape he would have been in, inspire his disciples to go out and spread the news about him, and eventually lose their lives for him?

All y’all who “maintain” that are calling Jesus, the Son of God, a liar.

Why do you beleive Muhammad? when there was eyewitness’ that saw Jesus die on the cross and his burial as well as his resurrection.🙂

Recent research show indeed he could have been nailed through the lower palm.

Hi

I respect your religion.

To me there cannot be a more truthful witness than GodAllahYHWH, so when GodAllahYHWH himself revealed information on Muhammad, I think that should be acceptable to everybody.

Quran
[17:95] And nothing prevents people from believing when the guidance comes to them save that they say, ‘Has Allah sent a man like us as a Messenger?’
[17:96] Say, ‘Had there been in the earth angels walking about in peace and quiet, We would have certainly sent down to them from heaven an angel as a Messenger.’
[17:97] **Say, ‘Sufficient is Allah for a Witness between me and you; surely, He knows and sees His servants full well.’ **
[17:98] And he whom Allah guides, is the only one rightly guided; but as for those whom He leaves to go astray, thou wilt find for them no helpers beside Him. And on the Day of Resurrection We shall gather them together on their faces blind, dumb and deaf. Their abode shall be Hell; every time it abates, We shall increase for them the flame.

Mohammad was the student of Satan. He was also a killer.

I agree. But back to the main arguement. What about stigmata? Where have the wounds appeared?

Research also suggest that the nails could have been through the hands and not the wrist because the weight of his body would have been held by his feet, not his hands.

Yes, Jesus DID die on the Cross and rose from the dead and ascended by His own power as God into heaven.

Mahomet rots in the grave. Furthermore, he doesn’t want you to spend eternity in hell with him.

I confess that there is NO God but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus is God Incarnate.

If Mahomet were a true prophet of YHWH, he would have affirmed what Jesus, who is YHWH Incarnate, said about Himself.

But he didn’t because he isn’t.

As far as an entity claiming to be Gabriel goes, the Bible says, “But though we OR AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN appears with any other Gospel than what you have received, to hell with him!” (What do you think “let him be anathema” means, anyway?)
