What is the Church’s position on accepting donations from state-run gambling organisations? Three Archbishops in the Philippines (where this took place) say there is nothing immoral in this.
The remaining apostles cast lots (gambled) to pick a new apostle to replace a dead one. Gambling is OK if done in moderation like any great entertainment. You sound like you’ve been listening to some Protestant, man-made invention that ALL gambling is a sin. You gamble with your life when you get in a car not to mention the life you may end by neglecting a stop sign you miss.
so what? if it is morally acceptable to take donations from gamblers right on church property–bingo players and participants in jamaicas and vegas nights–then there is nothing wrong with accepting money from people who gamble elsewhere.
