Hey Guys, I was wondering if there were any good books that present the history of the Church unbiased and as a matter of fact as possible. I would really love a book that would show what was really going on at the different periods of the Church from historical, theological and sociological stand points and and what led to the different corruption in the people of the Church. Also, I would really like it to help me understand the dogmas that came into dispute at each time period and why we have always believed them and show concrete proof from the Church Fathers and the like. And lastly, I would like it to explain why certain events where others say that the Church can’t be the Catholic Church, because of these different abuses and corruption in its peoples, and proove infallibility was never claimed for these.

Please guys anything? I’m really having a hard time at the moment and it only adds on that you only hear from the protestant side. Please guys you would be doing me the greatest service.

The History of Christendom by Warren Carrol is a good series that presents history from a Catholic prespective.
