Catholic Church’s position on abortion.

I just recently downloaded this article to which I fully agree on the issue of abortion but find fault in my Church’s position in regard to other health care issues that will lead in its entirety to the abortion question if we continue to support the US Health-Plan currently devised and under debate.
If abortion and euthanasia, no matter if called a ‘consultation’, is allowed we may well see the fiction movie ‘Soylent Green’ come to fruition, perhaps not now but in the near future. Where does it end?
We either are Catholic and take that to mean what it is or allow others to define what we should be or we might well find ourselves without merit in the abortion and near death argument.
I personally don’t trust any mandate that might well be a back door method to advance the very real questionable issue of abortion and near death:… stem cell research from aborted fetal cells, euthanasia no matter what term it may define, or even the inclusion of a bureaucrat in advising and even interfering with a doctor and patient free interaction.
I want to die in peace and comfort if possible and in the company of my priest, not in accord with the decisions of a government employee.
What say you???
