Hello, I am a Catholic graduate student doing research for my masters project. I happened on this site during an internet search. I am trying to find out if there are any statistics on what percent increase in membership a parish can expect with the construction of a church building. I am new to this forum so I did not know exactly which forum to post this question. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy Easter!

One of the best places to find answers to those kinds of questions is through CARA at Georgetown University.

I used them for some reasearch and they are quite helpful. They also publish the CARA Report which Catholic Univ. Libraries should have.

Try contacting Dr. A. Greeley, professor of sociology at University of Arizona in Tucson. He has done a number of studies which may yield statistics for this kind of inquiry. His work is through the National Opinion Research Council based in Chicago.
