If a priest has sinned and if children are born, is he responsible to maintain them ? Can he do it and continue priesthood ?
Yep, he’s responsible. If a priest has sinned and if children are born, is he responsible to maintain them ? Can he do it and continue priesthood ?
I don’t have quotes. But I do remember hearing the questions before and that if this happens that man is relieved of his priesthood and so that he can now take care of the child or children he has brought into the world. I will look through Canon Law to see if I can find something … that’s just what I remember hearing.Yep, he’s responsible.
Doubtful that he could continue in the priesthood, due to the scandal it would likely cause.
Anyone have any canon law references for priests and scandal?
Real life case study: A Priest at my Elementary School Church had a relationship with a woman that resulted in a child. He was Excommunicated, and court ordered to pay child support… at least till he married the mother (story for another time). If a priest has sinned and if children are born, is he responsible to maintain them ? Can he do it and continue priesthood ?
Some parishes have choirs, some have none, some have different choirs. What on earth does that have to do with the question posted?do catholic churches have adult and children’s choirs?
