Does the Church consider it moral for human organs (not whole people) to be cloned and harvested for medical uses:

cloning and growing a new human liver on a pig for example? Cloning a new heart for me and growing it in a camel for my use later…

Is this allowed by Church teachings?

As far as I know, the current state of science for that kind of cloning involves creating an embryo, harvesting the cells that will grow into those parts (killing the embryo along the way) and then growing the parts individually. Morally reprehensible.

What if it didn’t? What if you could just splice some human liver genes into the genome of a pig, and the pig just grew a human liver.

Is that ok or not?
