Hi, I’m a sophmore in a Catholic school, and I just had a question. Today I just got an assignment for my New Testament class where we have to basically outline our own Gospel. Since we are learning how Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each had their own target audiences for their Gospels, we are supposed to outline our own Gospel targeted to an audience of our choice.
Here’s basically how we do it: Pick 5 parables, 5 miracles, 5 teachings, and other important details…then we arrange them in a way that we feel is relevant to the message we’re trying to send.
For some reason, this seems a bit wrong to me. I know my teacher is trying to make a point, but my school has a history of blasphemous and heretical religion teachers…I know from experience. Any comments?
