Hello,

I listened to the Rosary on EWTN a lot before (around 2006) and would like to know the name of the classical piece that comes on as the Rosary is beginning. I believe it starts with a video of a dove flying across the screen…but I honestly forget.
It started with strings or piano and was very calming and beautiful. Do any of you know what I’m talking about?

Thanks in advance:)

the music you talk of is also used when Mother Angelica recites the ST. Michael the Archangel Novena…I find it to be very powerful in supporting the prayers that Mother Angelica recites.

Hi @drifter106,

The music that plays at the introduction to the very beginning of Mother Angelica’s Chaplet of St. Michael where the dove comes on to the screen, is Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune.

I listened to Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune and it appears it isn’t the same music that I hear when Mother Angelica recites the St. Michael Chaplet.

Hi @drifter106,

Let me listen again and see if I can hear it and see if I know what it is…

The music at the very beginning of the intro.–where the graphics come in–is the Clair de Lune from what I can tell, but I’ll go back and listen to the Chaplet some more and see if I can tell what’s playing there.

Perhaps you mean the song at the beginning of the International rosary on EWTN.
Here is a link to the video.
I do not know the name of the song, but it can be heard starting at 1:25

Sorry Everybody…

After listening to the introductions to these different EWTN videos, I have the classical piece figured out for the very beginning if you’re interested in the music at the very beginning of the videos.

Right composer, wrong piece on my part…

It is Claude Debussy, but it’s his piece “Reverie,” and not Clair de Lune. My apologies, and my mistake.

I’m sorry, but I don’t know what piece or pieces are being played during the Chaplet of St. Michael on Mother Angelica’s Chaplet of St. Michael.

I could not find any Rosary video that dates back to 2006, either.

It could even be that more than one piece of music is being used during that time, for the Chaplet of St. Michael video.

The only thing that I can suggest is that for those who are interested in the music for any of these videos, is for them to contact EWTN and ask them directly.

Sometimes you’ll see the music listed in the credits at the end of the videos, if you can catch it at the very end of the videos. 🙂

I answered this exact same query on the other Catholic forum.
Did you not believe me?

Reverie. The correct answer. It was my recital piece in the 9th grade.
( I wasn’t talking to you love, but to the OP)
