Okay, so this a little bit of an obscure question but I want to see if anybody has more information:
Something I read about in passing (I don’t remember the source and if I’m productively procrastinating sometimes I read a lot of random stuff on any given day/night) awhile back was the idea that there is simultaneously both a spiritual causality and a physical causality for how something is happening. For example:
Somebody is suffering from a physical ailment or disease. There is an observable, biological explanation for why this is happening, but then there is simultaneously a spiritual explanation for why or how it is happening.
A person is suffering from a mental illness. There are biological explanations for this occurrence, and then simultaneously there is a spiritual causality for why this is happening.
This also affects things outside of the human body. For example, God appointed the choirs of angels to govern the movement of stars, the atmospheric systems of the Earth, the water cycle, and everything else about the physical universe, however as human beings we are only able to observe this in our physical universe with the aid of our senses through physical and biological explanations, but there is simultaneously a spiritual causality that puts all of these things into motion.
Has anybody else read about this topic? If so, do you have the sources on it? Thanks.
