"Coexist" Bumper Sticker with Obama Logo?

My intent is not to discuss politics. Please save debates about public policy and campaigning for another post. My intent is to get feedback on what “religion” really is and if zeal for this particular president is approaching what has traditionally been defined as “Religion.”

To that end, has anyone seen the “Coexist” bumper sticker with the Obama logo used for the letter O?

Has anyone seen the Obama bible case? Whoa!

I had resisted the assertion by some members of the media that zeal for President Obama is tantamount to a religion, but now I’m not so sure that some don’t view it as such.

Or am I overreacting at what is simply an attempt to take advantage of a current fad for campaign purposes? That wouldn’t suprise me, nor bother me at all.

You saw that bumper sticker in “The Deep South”?!? Give that person a map before a lecture

“Religion” of this… (I’ll reserve my comments about our President) person seems like a light claim, I’d label his extremist followers as cultists. It truly reminds me of the cultist mentality, void of critical thinking, fearful of open debate, accept everything their leader says without debate, rejects truths that expose their leader, violent mindless retorts (such as calling people who reject Obama a racist), herd mentality, etc…

Maybe a good psych-evaluation for those individuals wouldn’t be a bad idea.

People need to be reminded that we should not love our leaders, at least so blindly. Once you start to love them this much, you’ll ignore the wrongs they do. History never stops repeating itself.
