Where do you believe the modern-day Catholic should draw the line between evangelizing and peacefully coexisting with people of other religions? Why?

I think it depends on the individual being spoken too. The line gets drawn when pushing further could damage your relationship with that person or their view of Catholics/The Church. If you are offending someone then you aren’t really helping them come closer to the Church. However if you constantly represent Christ to them through your actions you may do them more good than you could possible guess. Interestingly if you read through Acts it is very uncommon for any of the apostles to begin preaching to anyone unprompted, it is almost always to counter someone else’s attack on the Gospel or in response to an honest desire by someone to hear what they had to say.

We should accept them and respect their human dignity, but their is a huge difference between “tolerance” and “approval”. Trust me, I’m in college, and any culture goes as long as it’s not Christian or American. If it’s one of those it’s classified as “nazism” or “establishing religion”. Otherwise it’s “diversity”. Some people get into that universalist delusion, but here’s how to refute it:

You say the sky is blue. I say it is red. We cannot both be right. The same rule applies to religion.

So very true, I respect and accept any one who has different beliefs as me, and that probably influenced a lot from my University. My University is very multi-cultural, there are groups for every religion, political party and in between, and we get along and tolerate each other. Two of my Uni friends are Muslim girl…we get along very well too, we exchange cultural and religious ideas, ways etc.
