I’m glad to see he touched on what I believe to be an enormously overlooked pitfall of premarital sex (utterly unconnected to christian morality). Sex enhances intimacy. It forms a closer and deeper bond. So often, people that are utterly WRONG for each other are unable to see that fact because they are already so intimately involved. They’ve created a bond that is excruciatingly painful to break, so are unwilling to see that it SHOULD be broken. Without the sexual bond, it would be much easier for them to recognize their incompatibility and move on.

It is interesting to read this article with a slightly different set of glasses on. Imagine it was appearing in a pro-gay marriage magazine. 🙂

Very little of the argument is specific to heterosexual couples. Most of it is generic to couples of whatever sex.
If everything we say and do must include a chapter on context first, we’d never get anything said OR done. The context here is marriage, actual marriage. The subject of why same sex couples can’t be married (regardless of how many want to think so or how many judges demand it) is a separate one for another article (and thread).
