I want to go to a catholic college and play football but Also wanting to study Somethin that has to do with the catholic religion but I’m not sure what field? What’s school(has football)? And also what job I can pursue after college with a religion major.
 
Check into Carroll College in Helena, Montana. I am a sophomore right now studying theology. We have a pretty successful football program (except this year… :D) As for what you can do with a degree in religion or theology etc. Teach! Work for any sort of Catholic non profit, or dioceses, or religious organizations! I have heard of people going on to work towards peace in the middle east even! Lots of Catholic colleges have a football program. Notre Dame has a pretty big one, Fordham has a more modest one. Seriously, research Catholic colleges with Google and you will have an abundance of choices.

Job prospects with a religion major depend on what you mean by “religion major.”
 
to say Notre dame has a pretty big one is an understatement. i’d say they are a football school which dabbles in Catholicism!! HAHA
 
There’s a local Catholic College (2 campuses, one in Ohio, the other in KY) called Thomas More College, and they have a fairly good football team, but they are not a huge college.

Also in Ohio, there is the Franciscan University of Steubenville, they have a nice athletics program, but no football, I believe (unless you mean soccer :p).
 
You people are lucky to go to a Catholic college. I’m going to a regular CSU…with a Newman Center across the street.

There are quite a few college website links that you can look at…here is one with a list of Catholic colleges. Where to go: size of school, distance from home, academic credentials, “football” program, etc all weigh in your decision. Do you have a Youth Director at your church that you can speak to regarding jobs within the Church in your diocese? Or your Priest?

I know a Priest that played college football then obviously went into the seminary. This would be the ultimate job. Nothing like saving Souls. Something to consider and pray about if you are so inclined. 🙂
