I dislike these sites because most of them are rant’s from a athiest’s viewpoints. A lot of the above site is just a person angry at God. The proof’s are very exaggerated; this person is only looking at extremist beliefs.

The author of the site blames God for the world we live in. Instead of saying “I thank God for His tests, His unconditional love and His creations so I may exist” the author is saying “I blame God for this world we’ve created”. God created the world perfect once, and humans kind of blew it.

But understand that you simply cant always understand God. A lot of people are arrogant enough to compare themselves to God, thinking that if they can’t figure something out, surely God cant either. Just because we can’t understand it, doesnt make it any less real. Sort of like quantum physics.

when I was a kid I thought that the night sky looked way too beautiful to be anything but of divine Creation. Praise God. 😉

How can a person compare themselves to God while being unable to figure something out?
Why when something is not figured out yet, do people assume it either never will be, or they fill that gap of knowledge in with God?
As for God creating the world perfect once. Are you saying that prior to the fall God suspended all natural activity in and around the earth? What do you mean by perfect?

Sites like these make it hard for me to logically explain my faith in Christ to people, how do I combat some of his explanations?
Dont go to those site.If someone comes to you then answer them if you know the answer if not tell them you will get back to them and go get the answer. Don’t go looking for this trash.

I suggest, read them several times. Two things can happen. Either they will reinforce your faith, or you will lose your faith. In either case your frustration will be over. 🙂

Maybe it would be interesting to read them together with your priest, just one page each day. That way you will have a counsellor at your side, who could give you constant guidance. Maybe he will be able to explain why those articles are wrong, where do they err in their reasoning. It might also be a good idea to print out one page at a time, and bring it to a Bible study group - hopefully under the guidance of a qualified person. I would not advise to ask such questions here. Most people are very poorly trained around here to tackle such complicated problems.

Those are pretty awful. I would be willing to bet that those were written a long time ago, and the author now probably has been corrected. If not, wow.

Sadly, it’s recently updated and the current thought processes of the author.

Check this out:
Proof #29 - Think about Communion:
All of the rituals in Christianity are completely man-made. Christianity is a snow ball that rolled over a dozen pagan religions. As the snowball grew, it freely attached pagan rituals in order to be more palatable to converts. The process is described succinctly and accurately in the book “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown.
It has to be a joke website.

I must admit, that’s truly pitiable that he would believe the Da Vinci code to be factually based, which everyone knows to be fiction. Quite ironic.
lol, atheism. What did G.K. Chesterton say?

“When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing – they believe in anything.”

Whenever you see the words “why doesn’t God heal amputees?”, just close the site. It’s just a bunch of garbage IMO.

By they way, how come this thread is allowed if it’s about atheism?

shhhhh

The points brought up on that site are either irrelevant, non-sequiturs, false assumptions, or the author doesn’t know what he is talking about. I wouldn’t bother with that site anymore.
