Hello

I’ve recently been baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints

i now realize my mistake and want to come back to the catholic church but am unsure what to do

the members in my lds ward have been so friendly and supportive unlike those in the catholic parish which i used to attend the bible says by there fruits shall you know them why then are people so unloving in the catholic church and loving in the lds church

i know that the catholic church is the fullness of faith but i just dont know what to do to get out of the lds church its ever so difficult to leave

Hi James,

If you knew that you were going to die next week, I think that you would have little difficulty finding a priest to hear your Confession and give you the Lord in Holy Communion. The fact is, you don’t know that you are not going to die next week, so get to it! You know that you would rather have the presence of Jesus in your body when you die—than the presence of the friendly LDS people you know.

The Lord is calling you back to His Church. He deserves your return. You are the one who just stated that embracing the Mormon church was a mistake. Don’t make a further mistake by dragging your feet. He suffered greatly that you might return.

Check with a local Catholic Church and go to Confession. The priest will help you. You are in our prayers.
